You’ve Got Mail: Informed Delivery Now Offers Mail Delivery Notifications

USPS has rolled out a new feature for Informed Delivery users — email notifications when their mail has been delivered.

Informed Delivery is a free service that lets customers preview their incoming letter-size mail and manage package deliveries. Now, most users can receive real-time email alerts confirming that their mail has arrived. These notifications are available through email, the USPS Mobile app, and the USPS website.

What’s New?
The new email notification feature applies to letters and flat-size mail. To activate it:

  1. Log in to your USPS Informed Delivery account
  2. Click on the Settings tab
  3. Check the box to enable “Mail Delivery Notification” emails

Please Note:
This feature is currently not available for customers with P.O. Boxes or those in certain ZIP Codes, including overseas military and diplomatic addresses.
