USPS Employees Gear Up for Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on May 10

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the nation’s largest single-day food collection event, is set to take place on Saturday, May 10.

USPS customers are encouraged to leave a bag of healthy, nonperishable food items next to their mailboxes. Postal Service employees will collect the donations during their regular mail routes and deliver them to local food banks and pantries.

Held annually on the second Saturday in May, the drive helps support food charities during the summer months — a time when donations often decline, but the need remains high.

The event is led by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) with support from:

  • USPS
  • United Way
  • Other labor unions
  • Corporate sponsors

For more details — including participant toolkits, promotional resources, and online donation options — visit the NALC website.
