USPS Employee Shines on ‘American Idol’

Brajawn Upshaw, a mail handler at the Atlanta Regional Processing and Distribution Center in Georgia, recently appeared on “American Idol.” His mother, Tosha Dia, a supervisor at the same location, secretly signed him up.

“I want to make my family proud and show my mom that she was right,” Upshaw said.

Heroic Action Saves a Life in Chicago

Doriel Carson, a Chicago letter carrier, noticed uncollected mail at a customer’s home. When no one answered the door, she alerted a neighbor, who called 911. Emergency responders discovered an elderly woman who had fallen and was unable to move for three days. She is now recovering in the hospital.

“Carson’s quick thinking likely saved the customer’s life,” said Danielle Young, a local supervisor.
